Drivers west of Boone should expect periodic disruptions this week, as work continues on the N.C. 105 bridge replacement project, a key infrastructure upgrade along a busy corridor.
According to a project update posted on social media on Monday by the N.C. Department of Transportation, crews will implement brief road closures Wednesday to clear debris, while lane closures and narrowed traffic patterns are expected through Thursday to accommodate ongoing construction. In some areas, drivers may encounter temporary gravel surfaces as work progresses, a sign of active roadway reconstruction.
